The Main Lab at Pennovation Works

Adaptive Reuse

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

MRA was selected by the University of Pennsylvania to be the developer of the Pennovation Main Lab building on the Pennovation Works campus. The development included the complete redesign of a former chemical lab facility, demolition of the entire interior and exterior down to its super-structure, and reconstruction into a first-class, state-of -the art, multi-tenant, market rate laboratory facility. The 70,000 square-foot, four-story building accommodates both wet-lab and dry-lab tenants requiring a minimum of 2,000 square feet. Tenants include both graduates of Pennovation Center, an incubator building on the Pennovation Works campus, as well as companies looking to join the Pennovation ecosystem. The building features high-efficiency mechanical systems, shared common amenities, and an exceptional work environment on an evolving Pennovation Works campus.
